What the model is suitable for
suitable with restrictions for blue-water sailing and long-distance cruising
The current Outremer 55 (VPLP, since 2020/21) is a performance catamaran with a proven long-distance record: one owner sailed 18.000 nm with only 350 engine hours. Weak points are the thin build documentation (forums only), little stowage space and indications of individual damage. There are also two different boats of the same name, which muddles the forum picture.
