Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi 40
1 current listing in our analysis (as at 02.11.2026).
What the model is suitable for
conditionally suitable for blue-water sailing and long-distance cruising
Light, well-sailing 40 ft catamaran with a protected helm position at the bulkhead, which originated as a charter boat and was sailed by individual owners on long cruises for years. This is offset by a broadly documented series of findings: osmosis or moisture in the underwater hull, bulkheads that are merely bonded in and come loose, and hulls that visibly flex in rough seas. Only conditionally suitable for ocean passages – and only with documented repair down to the laminate.
